Xiaomi has just unveiled the Electric Scooter 5 Plus Seat in the Philippines, offering a new level of comfort for riders of their latest e-scooter. This seat accessory allows users to sit rather than stand, enhancing the commuting experience.
Crafted with an ergonomic cushion, the seat ensures a smoother ride. The seat post, made from durable aluminum alloy, supports up to 120 kg (about 265 lbs) and can be adjusted in height between 71 and 82 cm (approximately 28.0 to 32.3 inches). While the post lacks built-in shock absorption, the scooter itself features dual-spring front shocks and larger 12-inch tires to help absorb bumps and uneven terrain.
Aesthetically, the seat blends seamlessly with the scooter’s design, sporting a sleek charcoal gray finish. Weighing in at 3.1 kg (around 6.8 lbs), it’s mounted securely to the scooter’s chassis using screws.
Priced at PHP 5,499 (approximately $95), this accessory is also listed on Xiaomi’s global website, suggesting it might soon be available in additional markets. This move aligns with Xiaomi’s mission to enhance urban mobility solutions, making commuting more convenient and enjoyable.
