Huawei has officially unveiled the Watch GT 5 Pro, marking a noteworthy update from its predecessor, the Watch GT 3 Pro. This premium smartwatch has hit the market with a starting price of £329.99 in the UK and €379 across the Eurozone, and it’s already available for order in various regions.
Designed to stand out, the Watch GT 5 Pro offers a more upscale experience compared to the more budget-friendly Watch GT 5. It features two different case sizes, each equipped with an AMOLED display and a suite of health tracking functionalities powered by Huawei’s innovative TruSense sensor.
The launch of the Watch GT 5 Pro comes alongside the introduction of the Watch GT 5 and Watch D2 on a global scale. Unlike the Watch GT 5, which directly follows last year’s Watch GT 4, the Watch GT 5 Pro serves as the successor to the older Watch GT 3 Pro, which was reviewed over two years ago.
Despite its advancements, the Watch GT 5 Pro retains some key features from Huawei’s third-generation model. It is available in two sizes: 42 mm and 46 mm, with dimensions of 42.49 x 42.49 x 9.6 mm and 46.3 x 46.3 x 10.9 mm, respectively. Both sizes are capable of taking an electrocardiogram (ECG), a feature made possible by Huawei’s enhanced TruSense sensor technology. While it doesn’t offer blood pressure monitoring like the Watch D2, it does enable heart rate tracking, SpO2 level measurement, and menstrual cycle monitoring.
The AMOLED displays across both sizes boast a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and are certified IP69K, ensuring protection against dust and water. To sweeten the deal, Huawei is including a complimentary pair of FreeBuds 5i earbuds, which retail for approximately $89.99, with purchases of the Watch GT 5 Pro.
Pricing for the Watch GT 5 Pro is as follows:
42 mm version:
– Fluoroelastomer strap: £399.99/€449
– Ceramic strap: £499.99/€499
46 mm version:
– Fluoroelastomer strap: £329.99/€379
– Titanium strap: £399.99/€499
The Watch GT 5 Pro aims to offer a premium watch experience with its stylish design, advanced health tracking features, and high-quality displays, catering to those looking for a top-tier smartwatch option.
