Huawei has unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Watch GT 5, available in diverse styles and sizes across Europe and the UK. The smartwatch comes in two sizes: 41 mm and 46 mm, each sporting a sleek design. Priced at £229 in the UK and €249 across Europe, the Watch GT 5 is Huawei’s most affordable smartwatch launched globally today.
Huawei’s latest lineup includes not just the Watch GT 5 but also the more advanced Watch GT 5 Pro and Watch D2. Alongside these wearables, Huawei has also introduced the MatePad Pro 12.2 and MatePad 12 X on the global stage, moving beyond their initial launch in China.
The Watch GT 5 comes in several appealing finishes:
– 41 mm: Black, Blue, Brown, Gold, White
– 46 mm: Black, Blue, Brown
There are a few distinctions between the two sizes beyond color options. Notably, the larger 46 mm variant offers a longer battery life, lasting up to five days with its always-on display (AOD) compared to the three-day battery life of the 41 mm model.
When it comes to display size, the 46 mm version features a 1.43-inch OLED display with a 466 x 466 resolution at 326 PPI, while the 41 mm version has a 1.32-inch panel with the same resolution but a higher pixel density of 352 PPI. Both models are also designed to withstand the elements, boasting 5 ATM water resistance and IP69K certification.
The Watch GT 5 starts at £229/€249 for the 41 mm version, with an option to upgrade to a milanese strap for £269/€299. The larger 46 mm variant also has a base price of £229/€249, and in some regions, it comes bundled with a pair of FreeBuds 5i earbuds, valued at approximately $89.99.
Whether you opt for the 41 mm or 46 mm model, Huawei’s Watch GT 5 offers a blend of style, functionality, and affordability, catering to diverse user preferences and needs.
