The tech world is abuzz with excitement as Beelink introduces its latest innovation, the EQ14 Mini PC. This compact powerhouse is making waves as it becomes the first Mini PC to incorporate Intel’s Twin Lake N150 E-Core-only CPU. Designed to be ultra-efficient, the EQ14 promises enhanced power with a more robust integrated graphics unit compared to its predecessor, the EQ12.
Beelink’s new EQ14 is set to succeed the much-admired EQ12, which was based on the Intel N100 processor. The heart of this new Mini PC is the N150 processor, a part of the Intel Twin Lake family, which serves as a refreshing take on the Alder Lake architecture but focuses solely on Efficient Cores.
The N150 CPU on board is a remarkable piece, operating at just 6 watts of TDP power, and featuring four cores. It’s an ideal choice for users seeking power-efficient computational capabilities without compromising on performance. Reports suggest that these Gracemont E-core processors will excel in energy efficiency, making them perfect for systems that value low power usage.
Visuals surfaced online showcasing the Beelink EQ14, pointing to a price range of around 599 RMB, equivalent to about 82 US dollars, though this is for the barebones configuration, excluding components like SSDs and RAM. The EQ14 mirrors the design of previous mini PCs from Beelink, relying on features like a boosted 3.6GHz clock speed for the N150, surpassing its predecessor, the N100, by 200 MHz.
Additionally, enthusiasts can expect more powerful graphics, as the N150 comes equipped with a 24 EU integrated graphics processor clocked at 1000 MHz, which offers a 250 MHz improvement over the iGPU found in the N100 model.
Storage and memory users will find flexibility with the EQ14, as it includes two M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs accommodating both PCI-E 4.0 and 3.0 interfaces. There’s also room for an expansion of storage capacity with a standard SSD at the bottom of the device. Memory-wise, it utilizes SODIMM slots supporting a single DDR4 module.
Efficient cooling is pivotal in such compact devices, and Beelink has integrated a single blower-fan cooling system to manage heat effectively. For connectivity, the EQ14 offers several ports, including a USB Type-A port, a USB Type-C port, and a headphone jack, ensuring users have all the necessary connections at their fingertips.
The EQ14 is poised to attract attention with its impressive performance and power efficiency, promising to deliver a seamless user experience while maintaining top-tier specifications in a compact form factor. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or a casual user, the EQ14 Mini PC’s blend of innovation and practicality might just have something for everyone.
