Rumors are swirling about Intel’s possible next move in the GPU market. Recently, the name “Arc B750” appeared on Intel’s official Japanese website, sparking speculation about a new addition to their lineup. Although Intel hasn’t officially announced the Arc B750, its mention hints that the company might be gearing up for another Battlemage GPU release.
Interestingly, the page mentioning the Arc B750 actually directs visitors to the Arc B570 specifications, suggesting it could be a simple typo rather than confirmation of a new GPU. This slip only seems to exist on the Japanese version of the website, as pointed out by a keen observer, @Haze2K1.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, the possibility of a new Battlemage GPU hasn’t been dismissed. Intel recently introduced the BMG-G21-based Arc Pro 60 GPU at Computex and revealed there could be a 24 GB version of the Arc B580. Additionally, there are whispers about more powerful models like the Arc B770, although Intel remains tight-lipped for now.
Should Intel decide to expand its GPU lineup, the Arc B750 or even the Arc B770 could emerge, building upon the previous Arc A750 and A770 models. Expectations are that these new GPUs would feature at least 16 GB of VRAM with a 256-bit memory bus and an increased number of cores. Leaks suggest that the B770 might leverage a BMG-G31 GPU die with 32 Xe2 cores, surpassing the 20 cores of the B580.
Meanwhile, there’s a chance Intel may be pivoting towards the future of its Xe3-based Celestial GPUs, which are said to power the forthcoming Panther Lake chips. Intel is reportedly in the pre-silicon validation phase for this project and is already working on their subsequent Xe4-based Druid technology.
As Intel’s plans unfold, the tech world waits eagerly to see what innovations they will bring to the table next.
