Lenovo, one of Intel’s key partners, has teased its Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, featuring the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V CPU. The company put this sleek model through its paces, comparing it against Apple’s M2 and M3 laptops. Leveraging a straightforward testing methodology focused on Local Video Playback at 150 nits brightness using an H.264 (1920×1080, 24FPS) video sample, Lenovo’s results are eye-opening.
Equipped with 32 GB of memory integrated on the same package as the CPU die, the Yoga Slim 7i was running Windows 11 OS with the 24H2 update. Although Lenovo notes that this is an engineering sample, the preliminary findings are impressive. The Intel Lunar Lake CPU in the Lenovo laptop delivered a staggering battery life of up to 23 hours and 54 minutes. In comparison, Apple’s MacBook M3 and M2 managed 18 hours and 32 minutes and 18 hours and 19 minutes, respectively.
