Intel Arc 140V Xe2 iGPU in Lunar Lake Outpaces AMD Radeon 780M in OpenCL Benchmarks

Intel’s new Lunar Lake processors are set for launch on September 3, bringing significant upgrades over the Meteor Lake series, including the advanced Xe2-LPG integrated graphics. The flagship option in the Core Ultra 200V series will be the Arc 140V, equipped with 8 Xe2 cores.

The Arc 140V has recently undergone OpenCL tests on CompuBench, demonstrating performance superior to the AMD Radeon 780M and approaching that of the GTX 1650. These tests, although not directly indicative of gaming performance, highlight the raw computational power beneficial for video processing tasks.

The benchmark results did not specify which exact Intel Core Ultra 7 CPU was tested, but the Arc 140V iGPU was clocked at 2,000 MHz, suggesting it could be paired with either the Core Ultra 7 266V or Core Ultra 7 268V CPU models.

With the imminent launch of Lunar Lake, detailed performance assessments and potential impacts on gaming and computing applications will soon be available, promising exciting advancements in graphics technology.
