Insta360 GO Ultra Goes Cute: Meet the New Hello Kitty Edition

Insta360 is about to give its compact 4K action camera a cute new twist. The company has confirmed that an Insta360 Go Ultra Hello Kitty Edition is on the way, with an official announcement set for May 14 in China. For now, there’s no word on whether this special edition will be sold globally, so fans outside China may have to wait for further updates.

The Insta360 Go Ultra originally launched last August as the follow-up to the Go 3S, and it’s currently sold in two color options: Midnight Black and Arctic White. The upcoming Hello Kitty Edition will become a third choice for shoppers who want the same core performance, but with a pop-culture-inspired design. While a teaser poster confirms the collaboration, it doesn’t yet reveal what the camera or accessories look like in this edition.

Even without the final design details, the Go Ultra’s specs make it clear why the model is a popular pick for creators who want high-quality footage in a small package. It records 4K video at up to 60fps and uses a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor paired with a 156-degree field of view. Insta360 also includes a 5nm AI chipset, a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen, and a 6-axis gyroscope to help keep footage stable and smooth during action-heavy moments.

Storage and connectivity are built for everyday use and travel, too. The camera supports microSD cards and includes Bluetooth 5.4 plus dual-band Wi‑Fi, making it easier to connect, transfer, and control your camera when you’re on the move.

Battery life is another key selling point. The Go Ultra has a 500mAh battery that’s rated for up to 70 minutes, but it can be used with Insta360’s Action Pod, which adds a 1450mAh battery and boosts total runtime up to 200 minutes. That’s a big advantage for longer shoots, day trips, and events where you don’t want to constantly recharge.

In terms of what you get in the box, the standard Insta360 Go Ultra package (priced around $449) includes the Action Pod along with several everyday mounting essentials: a magnet pendant, a magnetic easy clip, a quick release safety cord, and a USB‑C cable. There’s also a Creator Bundle for buyers who want a more complete setup, adding accessories like a quick release mount, a mini 2‑in‑1 tripod (version 2.0), and a pivot stand.

Insta360 also offers a wider ecosystem of add-ons for different activities, including kits and accessories such as a toddler-focused mounting kit, a dive case, an ND filter set, an easy clip headband, and an AquaLens option for specific shooting needs.

With the Hello Kitty Edition arriving soon, the Insta360 Go Ultra is set to appeal not only to action cam enthusiasts, but also to collectors and fans who want tech that stands out. The big unanswered question now is availability outside China—something buyers around the world will be watching closely after the May 14 reveal.
