Excitement is building around the upcoming release of the Infinix Zero Flip, the brand’s highly anticipated foldable smartphone. Recent leaks of its specs and renders reveal a striking resemblance to the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, with both smartphones hailing from the same parent company, Transsion Holdings. Despite these similarities, the Infinix Zero Flip manages to carve out its own identity with a few key differences.
Ahead of its launch, it appears from leaked press documents that the Infinix Zero Flip will boast a sleek design, similar to its Tecno sibling. The phone is expected to feature a 3.64-inch cover display, an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1056 x 1066. Complementing this is a main foldable 6.9-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2640 x 1080, seamlessly integrating a punch-hole housing a 50MP camera.
In its unfolded state, the Zero Flip will measure 170.35 x 73.4 x 7.64 mm, and when folded, it will compact to 87.49 x 73.4 x 16.04 mm. Aesthetically, the phone features a flat frame with a distinctive hinge bearing the manufacturer’s name.
Under the hood, the Infinix Zero Flip is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, bolstered by 8GB of RAM and a generous 512GB of non-expandable storage—a significant upgrade over the Tecno Phantom V Flip 2, which offers only half that amount of storage.
In the camera department, the Zero Flip impresses with dual 50MP rear cameras, including an ultrawide angle lens, and optical image stabilization (OIS) for superior photography. The device houses a 4,720mAh battery, supporting rapid 70W wired charging. Additional features include a fingerprint scanner, dual SIM (nano) support, and it will come preloaded with XOS 14.5 based on Android 14.
Consumers will have the choice between two eye-catching colors: Blossom Glow and Rock Black. While pricing details remain under wraps, the Infinix Zero Flip is already shaping up to be a formidable competitor in the foldable smartphone market.
As we await its official release, the Infinix Zero Flip certainly promises to deliver a blend of innovation and performance, challenging existing models with its rich feature set and modern design. Keep an eye out for more updates as the launch date approaches, potentially marking a significant milestone for Infinix in the mobile technology landscape.
