Backers waiting on Ayaneo’s Konkr Pocket Fit Elite finally have a clearer idea of when the long-delayed Android handheld will start moving again. After missing its original release window by several months, Ayaneo has shared a refreshed production and shipping timeline, suggesting the Snapdragon 8 Elite-powered model is close to reaching customers.
It’s been more than six months since Ayaneo revealed the Konkr Pocket Fit lineup, which includes the standard Pocket Fit and the higher-end Pocket Fit Elite. While the company has largely managed to fulfill pre-orders for the Snapdragon G3 Gen 3-based Konkr Pocket Fit, the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite has been the tougher one to push through—mainly because of ongoing supply chain pressures and rising component costs, especially for memory and storage.
In earlier updates, Ayaneo explained that the Pocket Fit Elite’s delays were tied to these cost swings, noting it had to absorb significantly higher RAM pricing than initially expected in order to keep orders on track. The company had previously indicated shipments would begin in March, which was already a later target than planned. Now, it has narrowed that window further.
According to the latest campaign update, the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite is set to enter production starting March 17. If everything stays on schedule, the first batch is expected to begin shipping to backers by the end of March. Ayaneo also says it will share a more precise shipping date once production is underway, which should help buyers better estimate when their handheld will arrive.
The delay hasn’t been framed as purely negative, either. Ayaneo notes that the extra time has allowed it to fine-tune aspects of the handheld’s design—something many backers will appreciate if it translates into better fit, finish, or overall performance once units ship.
Ayaneo also addressed another point many supporters have been watching closely: accessory refunds. The company says the refund process for accessories will begin on March 15, with funds expected to appear in backers’ accounts within 3 to 5 business days. If the refund hasn’t arrived after 7 business days, Ayaneo recommends reaching out to its support team for help.
As for what buyers are getting once the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite ships, it’s positioned as a premium Android gaming handheld built around high-end specs. It features a 6-inch 1080p LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, aiming for smoother motion and more responsive gameplay. Power comes from the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, with expansion support for users who want extra space for Android games, emulators, and media.
Battery life is supported by an 8,000mAh battery, and the control setup includes Hall Effect joysticks and triggers designed to reduce wear and drift over time. The triggers also include a locking system, allowing users to switch between linear Hall Effect triggers and a more tactile, non-linear trigger feel depending on the game or personal preference. Ayaneo has also confirmed the handheld will be offered in a B.Duck special edition, giving collectors and fans of themed variants an extra option.
While Ayaneo hasn’t formally announced a price increase for the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite, it has already hinted that higher component costs may shape pricing after current pre-orders are fulfilled. With RAM costs reportedly far above the original budget, it wouldn’t be surprising to see pricing adjustments once the initial backer deliveries are complete.
For backers, the key takeaway is simple: production is scheduled to start mid-March, and the first shipments are expected by the end of March—making this update the strongest sign yet that the Konkr Pocket Fit Elite is finally nearing the finish line.
