HP’s New Global 14-Inch Laptop Packs Arc B390 Graphics and a Dazzling 1,100-Nit OLED Display

HP OmniBook X 14 launches globally with Intel Core Ultra power, OLED options, and Arc B390 graphics

HP has expanded its premium laptop lineup with the global release of the OmniBook X 14, a compact 14-inch notebook aimed at users who want strong performance, modern display options, and a lightweight design without moving into larger laptop territory.

The OmniBook X 14 is now available in multiple regions, including the US, UK, and Canada, with configurations that range from mainstream productivity models to high-end versions featuring Intel’s latest Core Ultra processors and Arc B390 graphics.

In the UK, the OmniBook X 14 is available for £1,249 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H processor, 24 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and a 1200p OLED display. This panel has a 60 Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 300 nits of brightness, making it a capable option for everyday work, streaming, and general creative tasks.

Pricing varies by region. In the US, the OmniBook X 14 starts at $1,399, while Canadian pricing begins at CAD 1,799. The entry-level model includes an Intel Core Ultra 5 325 processor, 16 GB of RAM, and a 1200p IPS display.

One important detail is that the Core Ultra 5 325 version is limited to the 1200p IPS screen and a 59 Wh battery. Buyers who choose more powerful processor options in the US are required to pair them with the higher-end 1800p OLED display. That upgraded screen is a major highlight, offering 500 nits of brightness in SDR mode, up to 1,100 nits in HDR mode, and a 120 Hz variable refresh rate for smoother visuals.

Choosing the OLED display also brings a larger 70 Wh battery, which should help balance the power demands of the sharper, brighter panel. This makes the higher-end OmniBook X 14 configurations more appealing for users who prioritize display quality, battery capacity, and premium performance.

At the top end, the HP OmniBook X 14 can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM, a 2 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD, an 1800p OLED display, and an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H processor with Arc B390 graphics. This positions the laptop as a strong option for professionals, students, and creators looking for a portable machine with more graphics power than typical thin-and-light notebooks.

Despite its upgraded hardware, the OmniBook X 14 remains relatively portable. The laptop weighs around 1.3 kg, making it easy to carry for travel, commuting, or daily use. It is slightly heavier than some ultra-light competitors, but still comfortably within the premium ultraportable category.

The highest-end US configuration is priced at $2,699. In Canada, the top available model currently includes a Core Ultra 7 356H processor, 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD, and the 1800p OLED display for CAD 2,899.

With its mix of Intel Core Ultra processors, OLED display options, fast PCIe Gen 5 storage, and Arc B390 graphics on select models, the HP OmniBook X 14 is clearly designed for users who want a sleek 14-inch laptop that can handle more than basic productivity. Its pricing places it firmly in the premium laptop market, but the available configurations give buyers flexibility depending on whether they value affordability, display quality, battery size, or maximum performance.
