HP ZBook Fury G1i 16 Launches Globally With Premium Workstation Specs and High-End Pricing
HP has expanded its professional workstation lineup with the updated ZBook Fury G1i 16, a powerful 16-inch laptop designed for demanding creative, engineering, and enterprise workloads. The new mobile workstation is expected to support Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor in the future, but current configurations appear to be limited to a less powerful option.
The Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus is a 24-core chip featuring 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. Based on available performance data, it should deliver roughly 10% better CPU performance than the older Core Ultra 9 285HX. That would make it an appealing upgrade for professionals who rely on heavy multitasking, rendering, simulation, code compilation, and other processor-intensive tasks.
However, HP does not currently appear to offer the ZBook Fury G1i 16 with the Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus. Instead, the latest available configurations are equipped with the Intel Core Ultra 7 270HX Plus. While still a capable high-performance processor, this means the newest ZBook Fury G1i 16 models may actually fall behind some older configurations powered by the Core Ultra 9 275HX or Core Ultra 9 285HX.
Pricing for the new HP ZBook Fury G1i 16 starts at $7,374. The base configuration includes 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and an Nvidia RTX Pro 1000 Blackwell laptop GPU with 8 GB of VRAM. For users needing stronger graphics performance, HP also offers configurations with the Nvidia RTX Pro 2000 with 8 GB of VRAM and the RTX Pro 3000 with 12 GB of VRAM.
The RTX Pro 2000 version is priced from $7,679, while the RTX Pro 3000 configuration starts at $8,634. These prices position the ZBook Fury G1i 16 firmly in the premium mobile workstation category, aimed at professionals who need certified hardware, advanced GPU performance, and enterprise-grade reliability rather than a typical consumer laptop.
With its 16-inch form factor, workstation-class Nvidia RTX Pro graphics, large memory and storage options, and future potential for higher-end Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, the HP ZBook Fury G1i 16 remains a serious option for power users. Still, buyers looking for the absolute best CPU performance may want to wait until HP makes Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus configurations available.
