Honor Unveils Budget-Friendly Tablet With Sharp 2K Display and Massive Battery

Honor Tablet X10 Mini launches with 2K display, 8,000mAh battery, and budget-friendly pricing

Honor has introduced the Tablet X10 Mini in China, adding a new affordable Android tablet to its lineup for users who want a compact screen, long battery life, and practical everyday performance without paying flagship prices.

The Honor Tablet X10 Mini is built around a 9.7-inch LCD display with a 2K resolution of 2,052 × 1,152 pixels. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling, browsing, and casual gaming feel smoother than standard 60Hz tablets. Honor also claims the panel reaches up to 500 nits of brightness and covers 100% of the sRGB color range, making it suitable for streaming videos, reading, online classes, and general entertainment.

To improve durability, Honor has equipped the display with strengthened glass designed to better resist scratches and accidental drops. The company also highlights SGS five-star certification for drop and pressure resistance, along with MIL-STD-810H durability certification. That makes the Tablet X10 Mini more appealing for students, families, and users who need a tablet that can handle daily wear and tear.

The tablet features a slim metal body, giving it a more premium feel despite its affordable price. It measures 235.37 × 141.43 × 8.48mm and weighs 447g, making it portable enough to carry in a backpack or use comfortably around the home. On the back, it has a simple single-camera design.

For memory and storage, the Honor Tablet X10 Mini is available in China with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Both versions come with 128GB of internal storage. Honor says storage can be expanded by up to 2TB, although the company has not clearly stated whether this is done through a microSD card slot. The tablet also supports up to 4GB of virtual RAM, which uses part of the internal storage to help with multitasking.

Honor has not confirmed the processor used in the Chinese version of the Tablet X10 Mini. However, a similar model launched in another market uses the Snapdragon 685, an entry-level chipset designed for everyday tasks such as web browsing, video streaming, reading, light productivity, and casual apps.

Battery life is one of the key selling points of the Honor Tablet X10 Mini. The device packs an 8,000mAh battery, and Honor claims it can deliver up to 16 hours of video playback, 122 hours of music playback, or up to 82 days of standby time. These figures are based on Honor’s own estimates, so real-world battery performance may vary depending on screen brightness, apps, network usage, and other conditions.

For cameras, the tablet includes a 5MP front camera and a 5MP rear camera. While these cameras are basic, they should be enough for video calls, online classes, document scanning, and quick photos.

The Honor Tablet X10 Mini officially went on sale in China on October 23, 2026. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage model is priced at 1,099 yuan, which is approximately $165. With China’s national subsidy, the price drops to 934.15 yuan, or around $141.

The higher-end version with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage costs 1,399 yuan, or about $210. After the subsidy, it is reduced to 1,189.15 yuan, roughly $178.

At the moment, Honor has not announced whether the Tablet X10 Mini will be released globally. It is also unclear if the device will arrive in other regions under a different name.

With its 2K 90Hz display, large 8,000mAh battery, metal design, expandable storage, and low starting price, the Honor Tablet X10 Mini looks positioned as a strong budget tablet option for students, entertainment users, and anyone looking for an affordable Android tablet with reliable battery life.
