Honor has recently launched the Magic V5 in China, a bold step in the world of foldable smartphones. Although the full details have been released separately, early impressions from some YouTubers and media outlets are already emerging. One particular review from Fenibook has not been entirely flattering, comparing the Magic V5 unfavorably against its rivals.
The Magic V5 prides itself on being ultra-thin at 8.8 mm, challenging the sleekness of the Oppo Find N5. However, this feature is only present in one color option, and the device’s camera housing has been conveniently omitted from promotional materials. Despite some criticism directed at Vivo for the large size of its camera housing on the X200 Ultra, Honor’s new foldable has matched this bulkiness, albeit with less impressive sensors.
Focusing on design, the Magic V5 still contends with a noticeable crease on its inner display. While it may be less visible compared to its predecessor, the Magic V3, users can still feel it during use. Fenibook ultimately believes that the Oppo Find N5 offers better “create control,” making it a preferred choice for some users.
