Honor Magic 8 Pro Arrives in Germany with a Crisper Display and Larger Battery Than the Magic 7 Pro

Honor’s latest flagship is now officially on sale in Europe, and Germany is first in line after an earlier rollout in the UK. The Honor Magic 8 Pro arrives as a premium Android phone that builds on its predecessor with a sharper display (in a slightly smaller size), a larger battery, and tougher durability aimed at everyday wear and tear.

In Germany, the Honor Magic 8 Pro is offered in a single memory option: 12GB of RAM paired with 512GB of storage. Under the hood, it runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, positioning it firmly in the high-end category for performance, gaming, and AI-powered features.

The front of the phone is dominated by a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1256 x 2808 resolution. Honor is also leaning heavily into display quality and comfort, promising up to 6,000 nits peak brightness alongside Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid support. For people who spend long hours on their phones, the EyeComfort Display setup adds 4320Hz PWM dimming, dynamic dimming, and an AI defocus feature designed to reduce fatigue during extended use.

Photography is a major selling point here, and the Magic 8 Pro comes equipped with a triple rear camera system enhanced by Honor’s AiMAGE technology. The main camera is a 50MP f/1.6 “Ultra Night” shooter for low-light scenes, backed by a 200MP f/2.6 telephoto camera that offers 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. A 50MP f/2.0 ultrawide camera rounds out the trio. Honor also highlights stabilization credentials, noting that both the main and ultrawide cameras carry a CIPA 5.5 stabilization rating. On the front, you get a 50MP selfie camera, plus a 3D depth-sensing camera that enables face unlock.

Honor’s AI camera tools add another layer, including a feature called Magic Color. It can analyze a photo from any source, generate a custom color tone based on that image, and let you apply that look to future photos—an easy way to keep a consistent style across your shots without manual editing.

Battery life is another upgrade. The Magic 8 Pro packs a large 6,270mAh silicon-carbon battery, backed by 100W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging. Honor also says it uses three Honor E2 power management chips to help optimize voltage and manage heat, aiming to protect long-term battery health while keeping performance stable.

Beyond the headline features, the phone includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a dedicated AI button, and modern connectivity options like Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi‑Fi 7, plus NFC and dual SIM support (including eSIM support). Durability is also a major focus, with SGS-certified 10x drop resistance and an impressive triple set of dust-and-water resistance ratings: IP68, IP69, and IP69K.

The Honor Magic 8 Pro is available in Germany in Black, Sunrise Gold, and Sky Cyan. It ships with MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, and it’s priced at €1,299.90.
