Honor 700 Series Leak Hints at Snapdragon 8 Power Boost

Honor 700 Series Leak Points to Major Snapdragon Upgrade, Rear Display, and 200MP Camera

Honor has officially confirmed that its next-generation Honor 700 series is on the way for the Chinese market, and early leaks suggest the lineup could bring a significant performance boost over the Honor 600 series.

While Honor has not yet shared the full specifications or a launch date, new information from a reliable Chinese tipster claims that the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro will move to more powerful Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. If accurate, this could make the upcoming models much more appealing to users who want flagship-level speed, improved gaming performance, and stronger camera processing.

According to the leak, the standard Honor 700 is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The higher-end Honor 700 Pro is tipped to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, positioning it as the more performance-focused model in the series.

This would be a notable jump compared to the previous Honor 600 lineup in China. The Honor 600 Super Edition used the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, while the Honor 600 Pro featured MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 Elite. Moving to Snapdragon 8-series hardware could help the Honor 700 series compete more directly with premium Android smartphones.

The Honor 700 Pro is also rumored to feature a 6.57-inch display with a sharp “1.5K” resolution. Another interesting detail is the possible inclusion of a 1.72-inch rear display, which could be used for quick notifications, camera previews, or other smart functions.

Camera hardware may also be a major focus. Earlier leaks suggested that the Honor 700 Pro could include a 200MP main camera, giving it strong potential for high-resolution photography. The latest rumors also indicate that the standard Honor 700 may not be left behind, as it is expected to include a rear display and a periscope telephoto camera.

Both the Honor 700 and Honor 700 Pro are also tipped to support an external 200mm teleconverter. If this feature arrives, it could make the phones especially attractive to mobile photography fans who want longer zoom capabilities without relying only on digital zoom.

For now, these details remain unofficial, and Honor has not confirmed the full feature list. It is also worth noting that Honor’s Chinese and global models do not always share the exact same design or specifications. The Honor 700 series launched internationally may differ from the Chinese versions, depending on regional strategy.

Still, the leaked specifications make the Honor 700 series one of the more interesting upcoming Android phone launches to watch. With Snapdragon 8-series performance, a possible 200MP camera, rear display features, and advanced zoom support, Honor appears to be preparing a strong upgrade for its next premium smartphone lineup.
