GuliKit is preparing to add a new model to its esports controller lineup with the upcoming GuliKit ES Max, a pro-style gamepad designed for competitive players who want more control, faster response times, and broader platform support.
The ES Max will join the existing GuliKit ES and ES Pro controllers as the latest entry in the company’s performance-focused ES series. Based on the early teaser, the controller will launch in a black finish and feature an Xbox-style ABXY button layout, asymmetrical thumbsticks, and an 8-direction D-pad.
One of the biggest upgrades is the addition of adjustable triggers. Unlike the ES Pro, the GuliKit ES Max will allow players to switch between non-linear tactile triggers and linear Hall Effect triggers using built-in micro switch trigger stops. This should make the controller more versatile for different game genres. For example, players may prefer shorter, clicky trigger action for shooters, while racing games may benefit from smoother linear trigger input.
The teaser also shows two rear buttons, giving players extra customization options for faster actions during gameplay. These back buttons can be useful in competitive games where keeping your thumbs on the sticks while jumping, reloading, aiming, or switching weapons can make a noticeable difference.
Platform support will include PC and Nintendo Switch systems, with a dedicated switch on the controller for changing between PC mode and NS mode. The ES Max is also expected to support Switch wake-up functionality and motion controls through a built-in gyroscope, making it suitable for both competitive and casual play.
GuliKit has confirmed that the ES Max will use its HyperLink 2 wireless technology and will include a HyperLink 2 adapter in the box. This technology is designed to reduce input delay and improve responsiveness. In wired mode, the controller is rated for 1.87ms latency with a 1,000Hz polling rate. In wireless mode, it offers 3.25ms latency with a 730Hz polling rate.
The controller is also expected to feature TMR thumbsticks, similar to the ES Pro. These sticks are designed to provide smooth input and help reduce the risk of stick drift over time, which is a major selling point for players looking for long-term reliability.
The GuliKit ES Max is scheduled to launch in August. With adjustable triggers, rear buttons, low-latency wireless performance, motion control support, and compatibility with PC and Nintendo Switch platforms, it is shaping up to be one of GuliKit’s most feature-packed esports controllers yet.
