Google Sets Pixel 11 Launch Date as Pixel 11 Pro Design Breaks Cover

Google Pixel 11 launch event confirmed as Pixel 11 Pro design and pricing details emerge

Google has officially started the countdown to its next major hardware reveal. The company has sent out press invitations for a Pixel launch event in New York, where it is expected to introduce the Google Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, Pixel 11 Pro Fold, and Pixel Watch 5.

The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. ET, and Google’s invitation makes it clear that the “next generation of Pixel” will take center stage. The teaser image also appears to offer an early look at the Pixel 11 Pro, including what seems to be a new gold color option.

From the preview, Google does not appear to be making a dramatic design change with the Pixel 11 Pro. The phone seems to retain the familiar Pixel look, including a flat metal frame and the wide pill-shaped rear camera bar that stretches across much of the back panel. This design has become one of the most recognizable features of Google’s flagship phones, and the Pixel 11 series looks set to continue that identity.

One rumored feature that does not appear clearly in the teaser is Pixel Glow RGB lighting. Previous reports suggested that Google may add lighting effects to the camera area, but if that feature is present, it may be hidden beneath the black glass section of the camera module.

The launch confirmation arrives shortly after fresh pricing details surfaced for the Pixel 11 lineup. According to those reports, Google may be preparing a noticeable price increase this year. The biggest change could be the removal of the 128 GB base storage option, meaning the entry-level models may now start at 256 GB.

That storage shift may come with a higher starting price. The standard Google Pixel 11 is expected to start at around €999, while the Pixel 11 Pro may begin at approximately €1,199. The larger Pixel 11 Pro XL could be priced from about €1,399, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold may reach around €1,999.

If accurate, these prices would position the Pixel 11 family firmly in the premium smartphone category. Google may be betting on improved hardware, upgraded cameras, new AI features, and expanded storage to justify the higher cost.

The Pixel 11 series is expected to be one of Google’s most important smartphone launches yet. With the Pixel 11 Pro design already teased, a possible gold finish on the way, and the Pixel Watch 5 also expected at the event, Google’s upcoming showcase could deliver a full refresh of its mobile ecosystem.

More official details, including final pricing, specifications, availability, and preorder information, should be revealed during the New York launch event.
