GMKtec Neo-X1 Series Debuts With AMD Ryzen 9 Power, Liquid Cooling, and Up to RTX 5070 Graphics
GMKtec has unveiled its new Neo-X1 desktop PC series in China, targeting gamers, creators, and performance-focused users who want high-end hardware in a relatively compact tower. The lineup includes two models, the Neo-X1 and Neo-X1 Pro, both built around AMD’s MoDT platform and designed to deliver strong desktop-class performance using powerful mobile Ryzen processors.
The Neo-X1 series uses a 14.6-liter chassis with a design that appears inspired by workstation-style desktops. Despite its compact footprint, GMKtec has packed the systems with serious hardware, including liquid-cooled AMD Ryzen 9 processors, desktop Nvidia RTX graphics cards, DDR5 memory support, and high-speed M.2 SSD expansion.
The standard GMKtec Neo-X1 is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX, a high-performance Dragon Range mobile processor. It is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 8GB desktop graphics card, making it a strong option for modern gaming, productivity workloads, and content creation.
For users who want more graphics power and enhanced gaming performance, the Neo-X1 Pro steps things up with the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D. This chip includes 64MB of 3D V-Cache, which is designed to improve performance in cache-sensitive tasks, especially gaming. GMKtec pairs the Pro model with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 12GB desktop GPU, giving the system enough power to handle many modern games at QHD resolution with high settings.
Cooling is one of the major selling points of the Neo-X1 series. Both models come with a liquid cooling solution installed on the CPU. According to GMKtec, this setup allows the AMD processors to reach up to 160W of performance, which should help maintain stronger sustained speeds under demanding workloads such as gaming, rendering, streaming, and multitasking.
Power delivery also looks ready for high-end components. Each Neo-X1 system includes an 850W Gold-rated power supply, providing enough headroom for the Ryzen processor and dedicated Nvidia graphics card. This should also help with stability during heavy gaming sessions or professional workloads.
For storage and memory, the Neo-X1 desktops include two M.2 SSD slots, giving users room for fast NVMe storage expansion. The systems also support up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, making them suitable for users who need more memory for video editing, 3D work, software development, or heavy multitasking.
Pricing in China starts at CNY 11,999, which is approximately $1,773, for the standard GMKtec Neo-X1. The more powerful Neo-X1 Pro starts at CNY 16,999, or around $2,512. GMKtec has not yet confirmed the official release date for the new desktop lineup.
