GMKtec NEO X1 and NEO X1 Pro Arrive With Ryzen 9 Power and RTX 50 Series Graphics
GMKtec has introduced its new NEO X1 and NEO X1 Pro compact desktop PCs, and these small systems are clearly built for users who want serious gaming and workstation-class performance without a massive tower on their desk.
The new mini gaming PC lineup combines AMD’s high-end Ryzen 9000HX mobile processors with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series dedicated graphics, creating a powerful Ryzen-RTX combo aimed at gamers, creators, and PC enthusiasts who need speed in a portable form factor.
The standard GMKtec NEO X1 comes equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX, a 16-core, 32-thread Zen 5 processor capable of boosting up to 5.4 GHz. Designed to operate in the 55W to 75W range, this chip is built for demanding workloads while keeping power efficiency in mind. Whether it is gaming, rendering, video editing, multitasking, or other heavy productivity tasks, the Ryzen 9 9955HX gives the NEO X1 plenty of computing muscle.
For graphics, the NEO X1 features an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 8 GB of VRAM. This GPU should make the system a strong option for modern gaming, especially for players who want smooth performance at high settings in popular AAA titles and esports games.
For users who want even more performance, GMKtec is offering the NEO X1 Pro. This upgraded model steps up to the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D, a gaming-focused processor that includes an additional 64 MB of L3 cache. That extra cache can deliver a noticeable advantage in games that benefit from AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology, making the Pro model the more attractive choice for high-frame-rate gaming.
The NEO X1 Pro also gets a stronger graphics card: the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 12 GB of VRAM. Compared with the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB, the RTX 5070 should offer better gaming performance and more breathing room for high-resolution textures, demanding game engines, and future titles that require more graphics memory.
Despite the powerful hardware inside, the GMKtec NEO X1 series uses a compact 14.6-liter chassis. The design appears to feature an aluminum-style enclosure with integrated handles, making it easier to move than a traditional gaming desktop. Pricing starts at 11,999 yuan, or about $1,773, for the GMKtec NEO X1 with the Ryzen 9 9955HX and RTX 5060 Ti. The more powerful GMKtec NEO X1 Pro, featuring the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D and RTX 5070, is priced at 16,499 yuan, or around $2,438.
Both models are expected to become available soon through major Chinese retail channels. With flagship-class Ryzen processors, RTX 50 series graphics, WiFi 7, a compact 14.6-liter case, and an 850W power supply, the GMKtec NEO X1 and NEO X1 Pro look like serious contenders in the growing compact gaming desktop market.
