GMKtec EVO-X3 global launch confirmed with Ryzen AI power, OCuLink, WiFi 7, and up to 128GB RAM
GMKtec is preparing to bring its new EVO-X3 mini PC to the global market, and it looks set to be one of the more powerful compact desktops arriving in 2026. After an initial teaser in China, the company has now confirmed that the GMKtec EVO-X3 will launch worldwide on June 29, 2026.
Buyers who want to get in early will be able to register for early access starting June 22, 2026. GMKtec says this registration will include a $20 discount, giving early customers a small saving when the mini PC becomes available.
While the official retail price has not been announced yet, GMKtec has revealed several key specifications. At launch, the EVO-X3 will be offered with AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. A higher-end configuration featuring the Ryzen AI Max+ 495 is also planned for later in 2026.
The GMKtec EVO-X3 appears to be a refined follow-up to the EVO-X2, which also uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. However, the newer model adds an important feature that was missing from its predecessor: an OCuLink Gen 4 port. This gives users a direct PCIe expansion option, making it easier to connect external graphics solutions or other high-speed hardware.
That said, many users may not feel the need for an external GPU right away. The integrated Radeon 8060S graphics inside the EVO-X3 are expected to deliver performance comparable to an RTX 4070 Laptop GPU in some scenarios. For a mini PC, that level of built-in graphics power makes the EVO-X3 especially interesting for creators, gamers, and workstation users who want strong performance without a large desktop tower.
The EVO-X3 also includes a 40Gbps USB4 port, adding another high-speed connectivity option for storage, displays, and accessories. However, USB4 v2 support would have made the system even more future-ready. Even without it, the combination of OCuLink Gen 4 and USB4 gives the mini PC solid expansion flexibility.
Display support is another highlight. The system can handle dual-display output through USB4 and HDMI 2.1, making it suitable for productivity setups, home offices, media workstations, and compact gaming spaces.
To keep performance stable, GMKtec has equipped the EVO-X3 with a triple-fan cooling system. According to the company, this cooling design allows the AMD APU to reach up to 140W of peak performance. That could make a major difference in demanding workloads such as gaming, video editing, 3D rendering, AI tasks, and multitasking.
Other confirmed features include WiFi 7, a sleek and compact chassis, support for up to 128GB of RAM, and up to 16TB of PCIe 4.0 storage. These specifications position the GMKtec EVO-X3 as a serious option for users who want desktop-class capability in a small form factor.
With its Ryzen AI Max+ processor, powerful integrated Radeon graphics, OCuLink Gen 4 support, fast wireless connectivity, and massive memory and storage options, the GMKtec EVO-X3 could become one of the most capable mini PCs of 2026. The big remaining question is price, and that will likely determine how competitive it is when it officially launches globally on June 29.
