Gigabyte is expanding its OLED gaming monitor lineup with the GO27Q24G, a new 27-inch 1440p (2560 x 1440) WOLED display designed for players who want ultra-smooth motion and a sharper-looking image than typical matte-coated OLED panels. The big draw here is Gigabyte’s RealBlack Glossy coating, paired with a fast 240Hz refresh rate and modern connectivity that includes USB-C.
The Gigabyte GO27Q24G has launched in China with a listed price of 2,599 yuan (about $376). While pricing in other regions may vary, this early figure positions it as a potentially budget-friendlier option in the growing category of glossy QHD 240Hz OLED gaming monitors. The model has also appeared on Gigabyte’s global website, which strongly suggests a broader release is planned, even if availability for now is limited to preorders in China.
What makes the GO27Q24G especially interesting is the glossy WOLED approach. Many matte OLED monitors can show a slight “grain” or haze effect due to the anti-glare coating. A glossy finish typically delivers a cleaner, crisper presentation—especially noticeable in fine details, UI elements, and text—while also making colors look richer and blacks look deeper. The tradeoff is reflections: if you play in a bright room or have light sources behind you, glare can be more noticeable than on a matte display.
Gigabyte aims to offset that with strong HDR brightness. The GO27Q24G is rated for up to 1,300 nits peak brightness in HDR, which can help highlights stand out and improve perceived clarity in brighter environments. It also includes Gigabyte’s HyperNits feature, designed to increase brightness by up to 30% without washing out bright details or clipping highlights—useful for HDR gaming and high-contrast scenes.
For gaming-focused features, the monitor supports both major variable refresh rate ecosystems, working with G-Sync and FreeSync to reduce tearing and stutter. It also targets wide color performance with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and carries a DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, emphasizing OLED’s strong contrast and deep-black performance for HDR content.
Connectivity is another highlight for a monitor in this class. The GO27Q24G includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone jack, and USB-C with 15W Power Delivery—handy for plugging in compatible laptops, handhelds, or devices that can take video over USB-C while getting a small charge at the same time.
With its combination of 1440p resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, glossy RealBlack coating, high HDR brightness claims, and USB-C support, the Gigabyte GO27Q24G shapes up as a compelling OLED monitor for competitive gaming and high-contrast HDR visuals—especially for buyers who prefer the sharper look that glossy panels can deliver. A global rollout appears to be in the works, but for now, the monitor is only available for preorder in China.
