Garmin enthusiasts have reason to be excited as the tech company is on the verge of rolling out a significant update for its latest smartwatches, the Enduro 3, Fenix E, and Fenix 8. Known for its rapid pace in addressing glitches, Garmin is gearing up to move from Beta Version 11.88 to a major stable release.
Just recently, Garmin introduced Beta Version 11.87 to tackle five bugs while enhancing three functionalities within its wearables. This update was part of Garmin’s impressive effort to fix over sixty issues since the devices launched in late August.
Following up, Garmin deployed System Software 11.68, though it didn’t incorporate all the experimental changes from the Beta versions. Instead of finalizing previous test versions, Garmin has refreshed its approach with another beta update, featuring additional bug fixes.
The beta update primarily addresses Smart Notifications. It aims to prevent system crashes when receiving notifications and ensures images load correctly—a problem identified in the earlier Beta Version 11.87. Furthermore, the update promises stability for activities like HIIT and Indoor Climbing by resolving crashing issues during these workouts.
While there are new reports suggesting a system crash while saving walking activities, Beta Version 11.88 brings exciting enabling features like dive and ECG, indicating the likelihood of an imminent stable software release.
Garmin’s commitment to refining user experience is evident, and users can anticipate more enhancements as the company irons out these software updates. Keep an eye out for Garmin’s official announcement, signaling the arrival of these new features and improvements to your wrist.
