Garmin is rolling out a fresh beta software update for several of its rugged smartwatch models, with a small but meaningful fix aimed at improving navigation reliability.
Beta version 14.13 is now arriving for the Garmin Instinct 3 AMOLED, Instinct 3 Solar, Instinct Crossover, and Instinct E. It follows earlier April 2026 beta releases (versions 14.09 and 14.12), which addressed issues tied to workout animations and the newer Stocks Glance feature.
What’s new in beta 14.13 is a bug fix related to navigation. Garmin says the update resolves a problem that could occur when users tried navigating to a saved location. While the company hasn’t shared detailed technical notes about what was happening behind the scenes, the focus is clearly on making saved-location navigation work more smoothly on Instinct-series wearables.
However, not every reported issue has been cleared up yet. A lingering bug affecting the Strength Training workout on the Instinct 3 still appears to be present. At least one user has repeatedly reported that the watch can end up “rebooting and restarting” during use, and they’ve stated the problem continues even after installing beta 14.13.
As for availability, Garmin says beta version 14.13 has been pushed to roughly half of eligible beta testers so far. The update is being delivered over the air, meaning it should download automatically when the watch is connected through Wi‑Fi or paired with the Garmin Connect app.
