Garmin is rolling out a fresh software update for some of its older premium smartwatches, giving owners new improvements even if they’re not using the latest models. The update targets popular high-end devices including the Enduro 2, Fenix 7, and Quatix 7, continuing Garmin’s steady pace of refinements and feature additions.
This release arrives less than a month after Garmin pushed out System Software 25.11, which delivered a long list of upgrades over the previous 23.48 version. Instead of moving straight to a new stable release, Garmin is once again taking the beta route first—a common approach for testing changes in the real world before a broader rollout.
The new update is Beta Version 26.02, available to users enrolled in Garmin’s Beta Program. One important detail: ECG functionality is disabled in this beta. Historically, Garmin tends to turn ECG back on only when it’s close to shifting development from beta to the stable software branch. If Garmin follows its usual pattern, stable 26.xx updates may not fully arrive until spring.
Even so, Beta Version 26.02 offers a good preview of what owners can expect in the upcoming 26.xx stable release. A standout addition is support for Rally 110 and Rally 210 cycling power meter pedals, which will be especially welcome for cyclists who want more accurate training data and better accessory compatibility.
Garmin also says it has fixed several issues in this beta, focusing on everyday annoyances and sensor pairing problems. Here’s what’s included in the Beta Version 26.02 changelog:
Added Rally 110/210 support.
Fixed an issue where setting a custom GPS configuration for certain activity profiles would not save.
Fixed an issue where the compass calibration tutorial video would sometimes not display.
Fixed an issue where the Stages Power Meter would sometimes not pair.
Fixed an issue where the watch face would sometimes erroneously switch to battery saver mode.
Garmin is delivering Beta Version 26.02 as an over-the-air update through Garmin Connect Mobile, making it easy for eligible users to download and install without plugging into a computer.
For Enduro 2, Fenix 7, and Quatix 7 owners, this beta update is a strong sign that Garmin isn’t done improving its older flagship wearables—especially for users who rely on advanced GPS settings, compass tools, and cycling accessories.
