Garmin’s Premium Smartwatches Get a Fresh Update Packed With Upgrades

Garmin Releases Beta Version 23.15 for Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, and Quatix 8 Smartwatches

Garmin is moving quickly with its 23.xx Beta Program, delivering another fresh software update for several of its premium smartwatches. After launching Beta Version 23.11 on July 1 and following up with later beta builds, the company has now rolled out Beta Version 23.15 for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, and Quatix 8.

The new Garmin beta update is being distributed as an over-the-air download to eligible devices enrolled in the Beta Program. While Garmin updates can sometimes take a few days to reach every compatible smartwatch, the company says Beta Version 23.15 has already been made available to all supported models in the program.

If the update has not appeared automatically on your watch, you can check for it manually. Open the Main Menu, go to Settings, then System, and select Software Update. From there, tap Check for Updates to see whether Beta Version 23.15 is ready to install.

This latest Garmin smartwatch update focuses mainly on bug fixes, usability improvements, and small refinements rather than major new features. One of the more noticeable changes is an improvement to the flashlight shortcut. With Beta Version 23.15, the shortcut now cycles through on, off, and strobe modes, making it more convenient for quick access during workouts, outdoor activities, or low-light situations.

Garmin has also addressed a music-related issue that could cause the smartwatch to reset while playing audio. Another fix targets a problem where the music volume could suddenly jump to 100% when a timer went off during an activity. For users who rely on Garmin watches for training sessions, music playback, timers, and outdoor tracking, these fixes should make the overall experience smoother and more reliable.

The update also corrects a phone shortcut issue on devices that do not include the phone app. Instead of leading to an unavailable feature, those devices will now direct users to the phone connection page. Garmin has also included updated translations and additional minor fixes to improve system stability.

In short, Garmin Beta Version 23.15 may not be a feature-packed release, but it brings useful improvements for daily smartwatch use. Owners of the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8, and Quatix 8 who are enrolled in the Beta Program should consider installing the update to benefit from the latest fixes and refinements.
