FromSoftware Reportedly Developing New Game Alongside The Duskbloods

Exciting developments are underway as FromSoftware, the creative force behind Elden Ring, is rumored to be crafting an unannounced title. Speculation is rife, with fans guessing it might be a Dark Souls 3 Remastered or perhaps a completely new single-player experience.

Recently, FromSoftware has leaned towards co-op gameplay innovations, notably with Elden Ring: Nightreign. They’re also venturing into multiplayer with The Duskbloods for the next-gen Switch, expected in 2026. However, there’s a strong fanbase eager for a return to the captivating single-player adventures the developer is renowned for.

According to insider reports, there’s a mysterious project codenamed “FMC” in the works. Details remain elusive, but the game is anticipated to be multiplatform and could debut as early as 2026. FromSoftware’s use of codenames has sparked intrigue, especially as past projects with the “F” designation have been linked to Dark Souls. This has fueled speculation about a possible remaster of the 2016 hit, Dark Souls 3. Yet, there’s also hope for something refreshingly new.

Skeptics might question the feasibility of multiple projects simultaneously, but the studio’s expanding resources suggest it’s possible. Owned by the Kadokawa Corporation, which expanded by 2024, FromSoftware has a larger team handling 26 diverse titles, potentially increasing their creative output.

Even if a Dark Souls 3 Remastered seems like a plausible direction, fans are brimming with theories about what “FMC” could mean. If the game is indeed an original concept, there’s optimism that it will focus on delivering a solo gaming masterpiece. In a recent interview, FromSoftware President Hidetaka Miyazaki hinted at a renewed emphasis on single-player experiences, easing fans’ anticipation.

As the gaming community buzzes with excitement, all eyes are on FromSoftware to see what groundbreaking experiences they will unveil next.
