With Samsung’s latest reveal of its foldable lineup, all eyes have shifted to the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra. The previous model, the S25 Ultra, made waves with its largest-ever display for the series and a host of impressive upgrades, particularly in artificial intelligence features. As anticipation builds for the S26 Ultra, leaks are hinting at what’s in store, and it seems a larger display might be on the horizon.
Recent reports suggest the Galaxy S26 Ultra will sport an even bigger screen, potentially eclipsing the S25 Ultra’s already massive 6.86 inches. The latest buzz from insiders points to a 6.89-inch display for the S26 Ultra. What makes this development even more intriguing is Samsung’s design strategy; they’ve managed to increase the screen size without widening the phone, thanks to significantly reduced bezels. The S26 Ultra’s bezels may shrink down to a sleek 1.15mm from 1.2mm, lending the phone a more modern, streamlined look.
Adding to its allure, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED panel, similar to what’s found in the Galaxy Z Fold series. This advanced display technology replaces the traditional polarizer with a color filter, improving screen contrast and enhancing overall brightness while being energy efficient.
However, while a larger display promises a more immersive viewing experience, it could challenge ergonomic comfort. But if the S26 Ultra is indeed slimmer and lighter, these enhancements might offset any limitations in one-handed use. The potential for a more comfortable and visually captivating device has certainly piqued interest ahead of its release.
