Forza Horizon 6 PS5 Release Date Reportedly Set for January 2027
PlayStation 5 players may need to be patient a bit longer before jumping behind the wheel in Forza Horizon 6. A new report claims that Microsoft’s open-world racing game is now expected to arrive on PS5 on January 26, 2027, several months after its debut on Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The reported date could finally clear up the confusion surrounding the PlayStation 5 version. When Playground Games first announced Forza Horizon 6, the studio said the PS5 edition would arrive “later this year” after the Xbox and PC launch. The game was released for Xbox Series X|S and PC on May 19, 2026, but the PlayStation version has not yet received an official release date.
Despite the latest leak pointing to an early 2027 launch, Playground Games has still publicly maintained a 2026 release window for PS5. That makes the situation especially interesting for fans who have been waiting for confirmation from Microsoft.
According to the report, Forza Horizon 6 will launch on PS5 in both digital and physical formats on the same day. The standard edition is expected to cost €69.99 in Europe and £59.99 in the UK, matching the price of the Xbox Series X|S version. While the US price has not been officially confirmed, it is expected to be around $69.99.
One major question still remains: will PS5 players get the same edition options as Xbox and PC players? Forza Horizon 6 currently offers Deluxe and Premium Editions on other platforms. The Premium Edition includes bonuses such as VIP Membership, the Welcome Pack, Car Pass, additional downloadable content, and previously offered four days of early access.
At the moment, it is not clear whether PlayStation 5 owners will receive a similar Premium Edition or early access period. More details may be revealed soon, as Microsoft is reportedly preparing to announce the official PS5 release date this week. Pre-orders are expected to open shortly after the announcement.
If the January 26, 2027 date is accurate, Forza Horizon 6 will mark another major Xbox title making its way to PlayStation. The series is known for its massive open-world maps, arcade-style driving, deep car customization, seasonal events, and impressive visuals. Its arrival on PS5 would give a wider audience the chance to experience one of Microsoft’s most popular racing franchises.
For now, PS5 players should treat the date as unofficial until Microsoft or Playground Games confirms it. Still, with rumors of an announcement coming soon, the wait for Forza Horizon 6 on PlayStation 5 may finally be close to ending.
