Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade Comes to Xbox Game Pass on October 29 with Yuffie DLC Included
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is officially joining Xbox Game Pass on October 29, 2026, bringing one of Square Enix’s most celebrated modern RPGs to more players across Xbox and PC. The game will be available for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, and PC Game Pass members at no additional cost.
Players will be able to access Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade through Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Since the game already launched on Xbox Series X|S earlier in 2026, this marks its Game Pass debut rather than a new platform release.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade reimagines the opening portion of the legendary Final Fantasy VII story, focusing on Cloud Strife, a former SOLDIER turned mercenary. After accepting a job from the resistance group Avalanche, Cloud becomes entangled in a high-stakes battle against the Shinra Electric Power Company, a corporation draining the planet’s life energy for profit.
Alongside Cloud, players will meet fan-favorite characters including Tifa Lockhart, Barret Wallace, and Aerith Gainsborough. The game expands the original Midgar storyline with cinematic scenes, richer character moments, detailed environments, and a more dramatic presentation designed for modern hardware.
The Game Pass version includes FF7R Episode Intermission, the bonus chapter starring Yuffie Kisaragi. This additional story runs alongside the main campaign and follows Yuffie, a young ninja from Wutai, as she infiltrates Midgar to steal Shinra’s ultimate materia. It adds new combat mechanics, fresh story content, and a different perspective on the events unfolding in the city.
Players also get access to extra in-game items, including Carbuncle, Chocobo Chick, and Cactuar summon materia. The package also includes the Cacstar weapon, which is usable in Yuffie’s Episode Intermission chapter.
It is worth noting that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is the first entry in the Remake project. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is not included in this Game Pass release.
On Xbox Series X, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade offers two visual modes. Graphics Mode targets native 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, while Performance Mode targets 60 frames per second at a lower resolution. Xbox Series S also includes both frame-rate options, though at reduced resolution compared to Series X.
The combat system blends real-time action with the classic Active Time Battle style. Players can attack, dodge, block, use abilities, cast materia-based magic, trigger Limit Breaks, and perform powerful team attacks. This mix of action and strategy makes battles feel fast while still preserving the tactical identity of Final Fantasy.
For PC players, the game requires Windows 10 64-bit, DirectX 12, and 100 GB of available storage. Minimum system requirements include 8 GB of RAM with either a Radeon RX 480 or GeForce GTX 780. Recommended specs call for 12 GB of RAM and either a Radeon RX 5700 or GeForce GTX 1080.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade also supports Xbox Play Anywhere for players who purchase the game outright, allowing access across supported Xbox and PC platforms. Game Pass Essential members are not listed for this release.
With its expanded story, polished visuals, memorable characters, and included Yuffie episode, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is shaping up to be one of the biggest Xbox Game Pass additions of October 2026. For RPG fans, newcomers, and longtime Final Fantasy followers, October 29 is a date worth marking.
