Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition Lands on Nintendo Switch 2 at $60, With a Code-in-a-Box Release Coming Soon

Bethesda has officially brought Fallout 4 to a Nintendo console for the first time, and it’s arriving in a big way. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is now available as a digital download for the Nintendo Switch 2, giving players a new way to explore the Commonwealth on the go or from the couch.

Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is live right now on the Nintendo eShop for $59.99. This release includes the full base game plus all six official add-ons (DLC), making it the most complete starting point for anyone who has never played Fallout 4, as well as a convenient all-in-one package for returning fans.

The Switch 2 version also includes more than 150 Creations. However, there’s an important difference compared to some other platforms: there is no in-game Creations menu on Nintendo Switch 2. Instead, the included Creations are bundled as part of the Anniversary Edition content, so what you get is curated and built into the release.

One thing players should prepare for is the file size. Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition is a hefty 60.8GB download. While the Nintendo Switch 2 comes with 256GB of internal storage, Fallout 4 can still take up a significant chunk of space—especially if you already have a growing digital library. If you plan on downloading multiple big games, expanding storage with a compatible microSD Express card may be worth considering.

For those who prefer something you can pick up in a store, Bethesda is also planning a physical code-in-box version for Nintendo Switch 2, scheduled to launch on April 28. That same day, a code-in-box version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will also be released for the console. Skyrim Anniversary Edition is already available digitally on Nintendo Switch 2, having launched on December 9, 2025.

Fallout 4 and Skyrim aren’t the only Bethesda titles headed to Nintendo Switch 2. The company has also confirmed that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered are coming to the system. Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is set to release on May 12, with pre-orders available. Its DLC expansion, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: The Order of Giants, is also scheduled for release on May 12. Oblivion Remastered has been announced for Nintendo Switch 2 as well, but it does not have a release date yet.

With Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition now available, Nintendo Switch 2 owners have another major open-world game to sink their time into—one packed with story, exploration, customization, and enough content to keep players busy for dozens (or even hundreds) of hours.
