Exclusive Insights into “Slitterhead’s” Unique Characters and Special Features

Bokeh Game Studio has unveiled captivating new details for their upcoming game, Slitterhead, highlighting unique characters called “Rarities,” specialized skills, an intriguing Kowlong Slums stage, and much more.

Characters
Among humanity, a select few, known as Rarities, exhibit an extraordinary synchronization with Hyoki. Today’s announcement introduces us to two of these rare beings, Alex and Julee, who cross paths with Hyoki in the narrative:

Julee: Once at death’s door, Julee was saved by Hyoki, transforming into the first Rarity. A figure enveloped in secrecy, she hides her identity with a hood and mask and uses lethal blood claws to fiercely protect humanity from the Slitterheads.

Alex: Known as the “Hunter,” Alex is a shadowy figure who hunts Slitterheads while concealing his face behind a helmet and wielding a shotgun. By day, he moonlights as a skilled surgeon in the clandestine underbelly of Kowlong.

Skills
Each Rarity boasts an array of impressive abilities that can be harnessed during combat, some triggered actively while others offer passive advantages.

Active and Common Skills
Active skills can be directly controlled. They may require depleting your blood level (HP) to execute powerful attacks or using spirit power for beneficial effects like healing. Moreover, some Active Skills can be transferred to ordinary humans, becoming Common Skills that add strategic depth.

Julee’s Skills:
– Revive All (Active): Boosts blood levels and continuously heals nearby humans.
– Sonic Claws (Active): Charges and releases a deadly shockwave.
– Blood Ripper (Common): Throws a slowing blood blade that reduces enemy movement speed.

Alex’s Skills:
– Blood Well (Common): Creates a gravity field that draws in enemies and civilians.
– Bloody Blast (Active): Fires powerful blood bullets from a shotgun.
– Time Bomb (Common): Sets an explosive timer using blood, damaging surroundings upon detonation.

Passive Skills
Passives grant constant benefits such as increased HP, enhanced weapon durability, and improved recovery abilities, giving players a significant edge in combat.

Skill Tokens
Throughout the game, players can collect Skill Tokens to enhance their Rarities’ abilities, unlocking new skills and strengthening their characters before diving into missions. Your choices on which Rarities to upgrade will crucially shape your gameplay experience.

Possession Mode
While holding the Possession button, players can slow time, select possession targets calmly, and move around in a soul state to navigate and scout the area discreetly.

Scouting
Infiltrating buildings requires stealth and careful navigation. By utilizing Possession mode, players can scout surroundings and move stealthily, avoiding enemy detection while advancing deeper into enemy territory.

Detecting Enemies
Enemies can be detected as “presences” flowing like air currents. Players can use the camera to track these currents and pinpoint enemy locations.

Sightjack
By getting close to an enemy presence, players can glimpse through the enemy’s field of vision, guessing their general location using the scenery.

Stage: Kowlong Slums
Once a lawless wasteland, the Kowlong Slums are now scheduled for demolition, forcing its residents into reluctant eviction. Despite the looming chaos, many remain, having nowhere else to go. The game unfolds within these densely packed, obscure streets.

In Slitterhead, you take on the role of Hyoki, a memoryless entity obsessed with eradicating the monstrous Slitterheads that lurk in the city, disguised as humans. Traversing the neon-lit cityscape, Hyoki must form alliances with Rarities, infiltrate and dismantle dangerous organizations, and battle using the power of blood. As the narrative unfolds, players will delve deeper into the mystery of Hyoki’s origins and the emergence of the Slitterheads.

Mark your calendars: Slitterhead is set for release on November 8th, and will be available for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
