DOOGEE is back with a bang, injecting a fresh twist into its rugged smartphone lineup. Remember the Smart Rear Display from the S98? DOOGEE has reimagined it in their new S200, presenting a 1.32-inch “Mecha Design” screen on the rear that looks similar to a high-tech watch. The main rear camera has been shifted to accommodate this feature, but don’t worry—it still packs a punch as a 100MP Ultra-Clear shooter. Enhanced by a new Morpho Imaging Algorithm, this camera uses AI to keep your photos detailed, clear, and vibrant. If that’s not impressive enough, there’s also a 20MP Night Vision camera ready to capture the nightlife.
Inside, the S200 shares a lot with the V30 Pro, including the same Dimensity 7050 platform. This power-packed SoC supports a large 6.72-inch display. Unlike the rear display, the main screen isn’t AMOLED, but it does deliver an intriguing 2.4K resolution (1080 x 2400) with a unique 16:7 aspect ratio. These quirky specs contribute to an 86% screen-to-body ratio, which is surrounded by the S200’s Dragon Scale shell, promising resilience against dirt, water, and drops from up to 1.8 meters.
When it comes to memory, DOOGEE claims that the S200 can boast up to 32GB of RAM—although 20GB of that utilizes software-based Memory Extension from its 256GB internal storage. Running on the latest Android 14, this device supports NFC, microSD cards, and boasts a hefty 10,100mAh battery. This translates to around 492 hours of standby time. However, charging will require some patience, as the 33W USB-C port isn’t exactly speedy.
The S200 is available now at $399.99 in sleek silver or gray finishes and is set to debut on Amazon starting October 10, 2024. If you’re looking for a robust yet technologically advanced smartphone, the DOOGEE S200 might just be your next purchase!
