The Amazing Digital Circus

Exciting New Manga Release: The Amazing Digital Circus

The hit web series, The Amazing Digital Circus, is leaping from screens to the pages of Corocoro magazine with an official manga adaptation. This intriguing series, which debuted last October courtesy of indie animation studio Glitch Productions, centers on Pomni, a young woman ensnared in a digital realm reminiscent of nostalgic 90s “edutainment” games. Trapped alongside others, Pomni must navigate the whims of Caine, the controlling AI, to stave off the madness that comes with their confinement.

We’re thrilled to share that Digital Circus is set to become a manga in Japan! Starting in October, Corocoro magazine will beautifully bring Pomni’s episode 1 ordeal to print. This delightful news was shared by GLITCH on their Twitter account in September 2024.

The series skyrocketed in popularity, smashing through 50 million views within two weeks of its release. When the second episode launched this past May, it hit over a million views within mere hours. The Amazing Digital Circus has evidently struck a chord with audiences in Japan, sparking pop-up stores and various fan events to celebrate its success.

As for the manga adaptation, it’s expected to closely follow the show’s narrative. However, given that the series rolls out about three episodes a year, there’s speculation on whether the manga will match this pace or include manga-exclusive content to keep fans engaged. For now, we can only hope for some delightful surprises along the way.
