As summer approaches and families gear up for long road trips, Tesla has released an update that focuses on enhancing the comfort of night-time driving and operation in hot weather conditions.
The latest software version, labelled as the Tesla 2024.20 update, introduces a series of improvements that make the journey more pleasant in Teslas. One significant enhancement is the optimization of the cabin air conditioning system. The update allows the interior to cool down more rapidly while doing so more quietly, addressing previous concerns from drivers about the noisy fan operation.
In addition to the air conditioning improvements, Tesla has also enhanced the capabilities of its Adaptive Headlights system. This feature ensures better illumination of the road by adapting to curves and projecting further ahead when driving on highways. This is particularly beneficial during night drives as it aims to reduce eye strain for the driver, making those dusk-till-dawn trips less taxing.
Such adaptive lighting technologies have been certified and incorporated into Tesla’s Matrix LED headlights in the US. With this update, drivers can now take full advantage of these improvements, which were promised when the vehicles were initially equipped with this hardware.
These updates are expected to increase overall driving comfort and safety, making Tesla a more attractive option for those planning extensive summer travels with their families, ensuring a quieter, cooler, and better-lit driving experience.
