This gap in display quality seems to have been bridged by Motorola’s upcoming release. Fresh leaks suggest that the 2024 version of the standard Razr will feature notable upgrades. Confirmation appears to have come from the Chinese regulator TENAA, which has recently approved a new Motorola model, identified as the XT2453-2, for sale. This model is speculated to be the base variant, possibly named the Razr 50 or Razr 2024, and is characterized by a 2.5GHz clock-speed SoC, hinting at a step away from the high-end Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset used in the previous Razr+ model.
One of the prominent upgrades for this next-generation foldable device is its front cover display, which has reportedly increased to a more impressive 3.6 inches. The device is slated to maintain a dual-camera setup on the rear, consisting of a 50MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary sensor, suggesting possible improvements in its imaging capabilities.
Despite retaining the 6.9-inch main display with FHD+ resolution found in its predecessors, enthusiasts have reason to believe it could continue to feature a 144Hz LTPO AMOLED panel.
