EMPULSE Release Date Set for June 24 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S
1047 Games has confirmed that EMPULSE, its fast-paced 6v6 movement shooter, will launch in early access on June 24 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Players on PC will get an early chance to try the game for free starting June 15 as part of Steam Next Fest. After launch, EMPULSE will be available for $19.99.
EMPULSE is built around speed, vertical movement, and chaotic team-based combat. Set in the post-utopian city of Freehold, the game challenges players to outmaneuver and outshoot rival crews across dense urban battlegrounds filled with alternate routes, vertical lanes, and tactical opportunities.
Movement is the heart of EMPULSE. Players can wallrun forward and backward, swing through the map with a grappling hook, launch from Holojumps, and use P.A.I.N.T. bombs to alter surfaces and create new ways to move through the environment. Every map is designed to reward momentum, creativity, and fast decision-making, giving skilled players more ways to stay unpredictable in combat.
The game’s biggest battlefield-shifting feature is its player-controlled mechs. These powerful machines appear on the map during matches and can completely change the flow of a fight. Each mech comes equipped with heavy weapons, special abilities, and a large health pool, making them a major objective for both teams.
Securing a mech can give your crew a huge advantage, but taking one down can be just as important. Teams will need to decide whether to fight for control of the mech, defend the pilot, or coordinate an attack to destroy it before it overwhelms the match.
With its mix of wallrunning, grappling, team tactics, and mech-based combat, EMPULSE aims to stand out in the competitive shooter space. The focus on high-speed movement and map control could make it especially appealing to players who enjoy skill-based shooters with a strong emphasis on mobility.
EMPULSE launches in early access on June 24 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a free PC preview beginning June 15 during Steam Next Fest.
