Dwarf Eats Mountain Digs Into Launch With Incremental Mining Mayhem

Dwarf Eats Mountain launches on PC with chaotic idle mining, greedy dwarves, and dangerous treasure runs

Indie developer Green Wizard has released Dwarf Eats Mountain, a strategic incremental game where an army of dwarves tears through mountains in search of gold, artifacts, and ever-growing profits. The game is now available for Windows PC on Steam with a 10% launch discount, and a demo is also available through itch.io.

Dwarf Eats Mountain blends idle clicker progression with incremental strategy, giving players control of a rapidly expanding dwarven operation built around one simple goal: destroy the mountain and bring home everything valuable inside it. However, the game adds a dangerous twist to the usual “numbers go up” formula. Mining is only part of the challenge. Once the gold is carved out of the mountain, it still has to be carried safely back to base.

That job belongs to the Runners, brave dwarves who dodge falling rocks and collapsing terrain while hauling treasure to feed the Great Maw. The more destruction your mining crew causes, the more unstable the mountain becomes, creating a constant push-and-pull between digging deeper and surviving long enough to profit from it.

The mountain is not just a pile of stone waiting to be emptied. As your dwarves damage it, the Great Mother fights back by unleashing calamities on the bearded invaders below. Players must carefully balance mining power, hauling efficiency, upgrades, and defensive planning before the entire operation comes crashing down.

At its core, Dwarf Eats Mountain is about building absurdly powerful combinations. Players can recruit different kinds of dwarves, construct specialized buildings, and deploy wild mining machines to speed up each run. The game includes dynamite throwers, ballistas, flamers, laser cannons, spelunkers, runesmiths, brewmasters, bulldozers, gyrocopters, and more, each offering different strengths and weaknesses.

Progression is expanded through a wide range of upgrades, active rituals, and rare resources. Players can improve their dwarves, strengthen their machines, and make tough decisions using valuable materials such as mithril and mountain souls. These choices help shape each run and create new strategies for faster growth.

Artifact collecting also plays a major role. Dwarf Eats Mountain features more than 120 ancient artifacts that can be displayed in your gallery, each offering effects that can change how your build works. Combined with over 96 prestige upgrades, the game encourages replaying, experimenting, and discovering new synergies with every attempt.

For fans of incremental games, idle clickers, and strategy games with a humorous fantasy twist, Dwarf Eats Mountain offers a mix of chaotic mining, resource management, and escalating danger. It is not just about digging for gold; it is about pushing your dwarven empire to its limits while trying not to anger the mountain too much.

The deeper you dig, the greater the reward. But in Dwarf Eats Mountain, greed always comes with consequences.
