DJI’s April Surprise: A Mysterious New Gadget Is About to Drop

DJI is keeping April busy with multiple product launches, and the latest teaser is sparking fresh curiosity among creators and mobile filmmakers.

The company has already confirmed two separate announcements this month. First, DJI plans to unveil the Lito 1 and Lito X1 drones on April 20. Not long after that reveal, DJI also teased a new set of microphones scheduled to debut on April 28. Together, these launches point to a clear theme: DJI is targeting both aerial creators and on-the-go content production in a big way this month.

Now there’s a third device in the mix, and it’s the most mysterious of the bunch. DJI has announced another April release, but this time the teaser is being shared only through its Chinese social media channels. Even so, DJI typically brings its consumer products to international markets sooner or later, so there’s a good chance this device won’t stay China-exclusive for long. What’s still unclear is whether the April 21 date mentioned in the teaser will apply globally or remain specific to China.

As for what the device actually is, DJI’s short teaser shows an accessory detaching from what looks like a camera stabilizer. DJI also confirms that the upcoming product belongs to the Osmo series, which strongly suggests it’s aimed at smartphone videography, vlogging, and handheld shooting.

Recent leaks point to one likely candidate: the DJI Osmo Mobile 8 Pro. DJI only launched the Osmo Mobile 8 in November 2025, so a “Pro” version arriving shortly after would fit the company’s pattern of expanding popular product lines with higher-end options. According to the same reports, the Osmo Mobile 8 Pro could deliver improved stabilization compared to the standard model and include an upgraded Multifunctional Module for expanded functionality. For now, pricing and full specs remain under wraps.

With drones arriving on April 20, microphones set for April 28, and an Osmo-related mystery device teased for April 21, DJI’s April lineup is shaping up to be one of its most creator-focused stretches in recent memory.
