DJI Neo Takes Flight: Debuts Quiet Propellers Amid Pricing Buzz

The DJI Neo, a highly anticipated miniature drone, is on the brink of its official release, anticipated to weigh a mere 135g. Amid the excitement, new footage has emerged showcasing the drone’s first flight, highlighted by its remarkably quiet operation compared to other drones in its category.

Recently, footage shared by Jasper Ellens revealed the DJI Neo’s capabilities in action. This compact drone features a 1-axis gimbal and electronic stabilization (EIS), ensuring that 4K footage remains smooth and steady. The standout feature, however, is its noise levels. When measured near the propellers, the Neo produces about 78 decibels (dB). Interestingly, this noise level drops further to 67 dB when the drone is five meters away. In comparison, other drones such as Avata, Avata 2, and HOVERAir X1 Pro emit 88 dB, 82 dB, and 88 dB, respectively, making the Neo potentially one of the quietest drones available.

One of the most appealing aspects of the DJI Neo is its affordability. Expected to launch at just €199 in the Eurozone, it offers a quieter and more budget-friendly option for drone enthusiasts.

This first glimpse of the DJI Neo in action is generating buzz, thanks to its quiet operation and advanced stabilization, making it a versatile choice for both new and experienced drone users. The official release is just around the corner, promising a blend of innovation and accessibility.
