Dimensity 9400 Surpasses Snapdragon 8 Elite in AnTuTu’s Latest Flagship Phone Performance Charts

The latest AnTuTu flagship phone ranking for January 2025 showcases a surprising shift in the competitive smartphone landscape. For a while now, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has been the champion of the performance charts. But stepping into the limelight is the Dimensity 9400, making an impressive return to the top.

Leading the charge is the Vivo X200 Pro Satellite Edition, powered by the Dimensity 9400, which has clinched the number one position with a remarkable average score of 2,896,624. Right on its heels, the Snapdragon 8 Elite-equipped OnePlus Ace 5 Pro secured the second spot with a close average of 2,888,193.

While the score gap between these two contenders is narrow, it’s noteworthy that Dimensity 9400 devices have faced stiff competition from Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships in previous months. Take, for instance, November 2024, where the ROG Phone 9 Pro had a clear edge over the Vivo X200 Pro.

In the following December 2024 ranking, the story remained much the same. However, in this latest list, several other smartphones made it into the prestigious top 10 rankings:

– The 3rd spot was claimed by the RedMagic 10 Pro+ with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, achieving an average score of 2,868,701.
– iQoo 13, another Snapdragon 8 Elite device, captured the 4th spot with 2,853,651 points.
– The Dimensity 9400-powered iQoo Neo10 Pro grabbed the 5th place, scoring 2,836,633.
– Vivo X200, also featuring the Dimensity 9400, reached the 6th position with 2,816,213 points.
– Vivo X200 Pro Mini, another Dimensity 9400 phone, secured the 7th spot with 2,799,774 points.
– The 8th position went to OnePlus 13 with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, scoring 2,752,630.
– Oppo Find X8 Pro Satellite Edition, equipped with Dimensity 9400, clinched the 9th spot with 2,706,662 points.
– Rounding out the top 10, the Honor Magic 7 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Elite, earned 2,684,156 points.

AnTuTu evaluates these rankings using comprehensive criteria, requiring each device to have at least 1,000 valid runs in a month. This demand ensures dynamic variability in the rankings. Beyond raw benchmark scores, it’s also crucial to consider other features like screen quality, camera capabilities, battery life, and software performance to get a full picture of a device’s greatness.
