Leaked OnePlus Flagship Could Redefine Smooth Screens With a 185Hz Display

OnePlus Ace 7 leak hints at Snapdragon 8 Elite power, 185Hz display, and a massive battery

OnePlus appears to be preparing its next performance-focused smartphone lineup, and early details about the OnePlus Ace 7 are already beginning to surface. The Ace series has built a reputation for offering flagship-level speed, aggressive gaming features, and large batteries, and the upcoming model could push that formula even further.

According to a new leak from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus Ace 7 may be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset or the SM8850Q, which is believed to be a slightly lower-clocked version of the same platform. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is expected to be one of Qualcomm’s top-tier mobile processors, built on a 3nm process and designed for high-end Android phones.

If the leak proves accurate, the OnePlus Ace 7 could deliver a major performance upgrade over the current Ace 6 series. The chipset is also associated with flagship OnePlus models such as the OnePlus 15 and OnePlus 15T, suggesting that the Ace 7 may offer premium-level speed at a more competitive price point.

One of the most interesting details from the leak is the possibility of a built-in cooling fan. This would make the OnePlus Ace 7 especially appealing to mobile gamers and heavy users who want sustained performance during long gaming sessions, video editing, or multitasking. Active cooling could help reduce thermal throttling and keep the phone running smoothly under pressure.

The display is another area where the OnePlus Ace 7 may stand out. The phone is tipped to feature a 6.78-inch screen with a 1.5K resolution and an extremely fast 185Hz refresh rate. That would place it above many gaming-focused smartphones and could make scrolling, animations, and gameplay feel exceptionally smooth.

Battery life may also be one of the biggest highlights. The OnePlus Ace 7 is rumored to pack a battery with a capacity of around 9,000mAh, which would be significantly larger than what most mainstream flagship phones offer. Combined with either 100W or 120W fast charging, the device could deliver both long endurance and quick top-ups.

The leak also mentions a OnePlus Ace 7 Pro variant. This model is said to feature a 50MP periscope telephoto camera using Samsung’s JN5 sensor, with support for 3.5x optical zoom. If true, the Pro version could bring stronger camera hardware to the Ace lineup, which has traditionally focused more on performance than photography.

At the moment, there is no confirmed launch date for the OnePlus Ace 7 series. However, the OnePlus Ace 6 was introduced in China in October 2025, so it would not be surprising if the next generation arrives around the same period this year.

While these details are still based on leaks, the rumored combination of a Snapdragon 8 Elite-class chipset, 185Hz display, active cooling, huge battery, and ultra-fast charging suggests that the OnePlus Ace 7 could become one of the most exciting performance smartphones of the year.
