The expansion for Diablo IV, called “Vessel of Hatred,” is already available for pre-order. Due to numerous fan requests, customizable loadouts and waypoints will be introduced with the expansion. The launch is scheduled for October 8, and while waypoints have been confirmed to arrive on that date, loadouts may follow at a later time.
Announced in June, this upcoming add-on features Neyrelle, a sorceress who ventures into Nahantu, a new region familiar to fans of Diablo II. Neyrelle’s mission is to find a way to finally destroy Mephisto. Alongside this, players will gain access to the Spiritborn class, capable of summoning spirits and casting protective spells to support themselves and their allies, adding new layers of strategy and gameplay.
The expansion also introduces new storylines centered around Neyrelle’s struggles and the consequences of her past decisions. Diablo IV’s General Manager, Rod Fergusson, confirmed that custom waypoints and gear loadouts are coming. Players will soon be able to assign any waypoint a special status, enabling direct teleportation to that location instead of the default town. However, only one favorite location can be active at a time. This feature will be available from October 8 with the launch of the expansion.
While custom loadouts have been confirmed, an exact release date has not been provided. However, it has been indicated that this feature will arrive shortly after the “Vessel of Hatred” expansion.
PlayStation 5 users have the opportunity to purchase Diablo IV at a discounted price of $37.99, down from the original $69.99, reflecting a significant 46% discount.
