Dell has quietly rolled out its new Pro 5 Series 16 laptop to more regions, giving buyers a fresh 16-inch option that can be tailored to different performance and budget needs. The model is already drawing attention thanks to its support for LPCAMM2 memory, a newer RAM format designed to deliver strong performance in a compact, service-friendly design.
On the display side, the Pro 5 Series 16 can be configured with either a 1200p or a 1600p (2.5K) IPS panel. Depending on the chosen screen, Dell lists peak SDR brightness between 400 nits and 500 nits, which is a solid range for everyday productivity and brighter indoor environments. That said, not every panel option is aimed at creators: some configurations cover only 62.5% of the sRGB color space, which may feel limiting for color-sensitive photo or video work. Dell also offers 120 Hz variable refresh rate options for smoother motion, but anyone hoping for an OLED upgrade will need to look elsewhere, since none of the configurations use OLED technology.
Pricing varies notably depending on how you configure the laptop. Dell lists the Pro 5 Series 16 starting at $2,302 in the US and £2,011 in the UK. However, tweaking options in the configurator can reduce the entry price to $2,232 and £1,947.47, suggesting certain base configurations come in a bit lower than the headline starting figures.
Availability also depends on location. The Pro 5 Series 16 can be ordered online in Canada and across the Eurozone, while buyers in Australia may need to purchase by phone rather than through an online checkout.
As with many premium 16-inch laptops, the real sticker shock appears when pushing specifications higher. Choosing a Core Ultra X7 368H processor and 64 GB of LPCAMM2 RAM raises the price dramatically, reaching $4,877 even before making any other upgrades. For shoppers comparing configurations, it’s worth weighing whether higher-end CPU and memory options match your actual workload, since the cost can climb quickly.
