The Krasue Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight Unveils a Thai Folklore Nightmare: Krasue Joins the New Chapter

Dead by Daylight’s next Chapter, Sinister Grace, has been revealed—and it brings a terrifying new Killer inspired by Thai folklore. Meet The Krasue, a malevolent spirit that exists as a disembodied head trailing its exposed, bleeding organs. By day, it can appear as a beautiful young woman in traditional attire; by night, the curse takes hold and the hunger for blood and raw flesh begins.

In Thai legends, the Krasue lives a double life, leaving its headless body behind to roam and feed after dark. That dual nature translates directly into gameplay. The Krasue can switch between Body and Head forms, blending brute fundamentals with supernatural mobility and pressure. It’s a fresh twist that echoes elements from The Plague and The Lich while carving out a distinct identity.

Head form is the showstopper. Here, The Krasue gains speed and limited flight, plus a signature intestinal whip attack. Striking Survivors with the whip builds a special meter; once it’s filled, the target becomes Broken, unable to heal above the injured state. The trade-off keeps things balanced: in Head form you can’t break pallets or build bloodlust, so well-timed switches are essential.

Body form restores the basics. Think classic M1 Killer gameplay for solid, dependable hits and the ability to handle map obstacles. Skilled players will pivot between forms to counter looping, punish mispositioning, and keep Survivors guessing—pressuring efficiently with the Head’s mobility, then swapping to the Body to clear obstacles and close out chases.

Sinister Grace launches on September 23, with the Public Test Build available now for anyone eager to try The Krasue early, learn the power timings, and experiment with flight paths and whip setups.

Dead by Daylight is available now on Windows PC (including Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
