Casio and C2H4 Revisit the Space Age With a Retro-Futuristic G-Shock GA-2100
Casio is giving watch collectors another reason to pay attention. Following the success of its earlier collaboration with Los Angeles streetwear label C2H4, the brand is returning with a new limited-edition G-Shock that blends rugged utility with a striking Space Age-inspired design.
The latest model, the G-Shock GA-2100C2H426-8A, takes the familiar GA-2100 silhouette and transforms it into a retro-futuristic statement piece. Inspired by the bold optimism of 1960s design, the watch leans into the idea that the future can be shaped by looking back at the past. Its design language captures that mix of vintage science fiction, industrial design, and modern streetwear.
This marks the second collaboration between Casio and C2H4, following their previous GM-5600 “The Space Age” release in 2025. This time, the slim and angular GA-2100 platform provides the foundation, giving the watch a modern shape while leaving plenty of room for distinctive design details.
One of the standout features is the translucent resin bezel and strap, which create a futuristic look without losing the classic G-Shock identity. The dial adds even more visual appeal with brushed silver metallic plating and vapor-deposition finishing, giving the hands and hour markers a polished, high-tech appearance.
The Space Age theme continues on the case back, which is engraved with the Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport. The landmark is widely associated with mid-century futuristic architecture, making it a fitting detail for a watch built around retro-futurist inspiration.
Collectors will also be drawn to the special packaging. Instead of a standard watch box, the GA-2100 x C2H4 arrives in a custom metallic silver and blue case designed to look like a futuristic time capsule. The case opens in two halves to reveal the watch inside, turning the unboxing experience into part of the appeal.
Despite its fashion-forward look, this limited-edition G-Shock remains a proper tool watch. It keeps the GA-2100’s well-known shock-resistant construction and 200-meter water resistance, making it suitable for everyday wear, travel, and outdoor use.
The analog-digital display includes the expected GA-2100 functions, such as world time across 31 time zones, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, five daily alarms, and a full auto-calendar programmed through 2099. A double LED Super Illuminator is also included for better visibility in low-light conditions.
The Casio G-Shock GA-2100 x C2H4 is scheduled to launch in the United States on July 17 at 9 AM PST, or 12 PM ET. The retail price is set at $245. The watch has already debuted in China and is expected to receive a wider global release, with availability in the UK and Europe likely to follow later.
With its mix of collectible packaging, Space Age styling, and dependable G-Shock durability, the GA-2100C2H426-8A is shaping up to be one of Casio’s more eye-catching limited-edition releases of the year. For fans of retro-futuristic design, streetwear collaborations, or unique G-Shock models, this is a launch worth watching.
