Casio Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000AP-1A launches in the US as a limited-edition titanium watch
Casio has introduced the Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000AP-1A to the US market, giving collectors and premium watch fans a new limited-edition model that blends Japanese craftsmanship, advanced timekeeping technology, and a striking blue design. Priced at $1,900, the watch arrives as a highly limited release, with only 800 pieces available worldwide for this version.
The Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000AP-1A stands out thanks to its use of Awa indigo, a traditional natural dye from Tokushima Prefecture in Japan. This centuries-old dyeing method gives the watch its distinctive character, especially across the three mother-of-pearl sub-dials. Each sub-dial features a slightly different shade of blue, creating a layered look that changes subtly with the light. Set against a deep black dial, the effect is refined, modern, and unmistakably premium.
Casio has paired the dial with a sapphire crystal bezel finished in a graduated blue vapor-deposition treatment. The result is a watch that feels both technical and artistic, with the blue tones flowing naturally across the face and bezel. The dual-curved sapphire crystal also includes a glare-resistant coating, improving visibility while adding to the polished look.
Despite its detailed finishing and full-metal construction, the Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000AP-1A remains lightweight. The case and bracelet are made from titanium, helping keep the total weight to around 83 grams. The case measures 47.5 x 42.8 x 9.5 mm, giving it a slim profile for a feature-packed analog watch. The solid titanium bracelet includes a one-touch, slide-adjustable three-fold clasp and is designed to fit wrists from 150 mm to 195 mm.
Inside, the watch offers the kind of high-end functionality expected from Casio’s Oceanus line. Tough Solar power keeps it running using light, with a battery life of around five months during normal use. When stored in the dark with power-saving mode activated, it can last up to 19 months.
For accuracy, the OCW-S7000AP-1A supports Multi-Band 6 radio time calibration, allowing it to sync with six global radio stations. It also includes Bluetooth connectivity through Casio’s Watches app, enabling automatic time correction, simplified settings, phone finder functionality, and world time support for approximately 300 cities.
The watch also includes a 1-second stopwatch with a measuring capacity of up to 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds. Additional features include a day indicator, a full auto-calendar programmed through the year 2099, and 100-meter water resistance, making it suitable for daily wear as well as travel.
One of the most interesting details is the production number. While an earlier Japan release was limited to 1,300 units, the US version is capped at 800 pieces worldwide. That smaller number suggests this is a separate and more exclusive run, which may make it especially appealing to collectors.
