Casio MTG-B4000B-1A Arrives in the US With AI-Refined Carbon Protection and a $1,500 Price Tag
Casio has officially launched the MTG-B4000B-1A in the United States, bringing one of its latest premium G-Shock models to American buyers after its earlier debut in Japan. Priced at $1,500, this high-end timepiece combines rugged engineering, advanced materials, solar charging, Bluetooth connectivity, and radio-controlled timekeeping in a bold black-and-red design.
The MTG-B4000B-1A stands out because of its upgraded Dual Core Guard structure. This protective construction uses a combination of laminated carbon, glass fiber sheets, and stainless steel to shield the internal module from extreme conditions. Rather than relying only on traditional design methods, Casio used a more modern development approach for this model.
The design process began with human-created concepts, followed by AI-assisted structural stress analysis. Engineers then used that simulation data to refine the final shape and improve durability. The result is a case built not just for appearance, but for serious impact resistance and long-term toughness.
Casio also uses metal injection molding for the case back, allowing for more complex and dimensional shaping than conventional machining methods. This gives the watch a more advanced construction while helping support the rugged design language expected from the G-Shock MT-G series.
Visually, the MTG-B4000B-1A features a black carbon body paired with red dial accents, giving it a sporty and aggressive look. A soft urethane band completes the design, keeping the watch practical for daily wear despite its premium positioning.
In terms of size, the watch measures 56.6 x 45.3 x 14.4 mm and weighs 112 grams. Like other high-performance G-Shock models, it is built to handle demanding environments. The Triple G Resist rating means the internal module is designed to withstand mechanical shock, centrifugal force, and heavy vibration.
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, improving scratch resistance and visibility. The watch also offers 200-meter water resistance, making it suitable for swimming, outdoor use, and demanding everyday conditions.
Power comes from Casio’s Tough Solar charging system, which allows the battery to recharge using light exposure. This reduces the need for frequent battery replacements and makes the watch more convenient for long-term use.
For smart features, the MTG-B4000B-1A connects to Android and iOS devices through Bluetooth using the Casio Watches app. Through the app, users can access automatic time synchronization, alarm settings, and world time functions covering 300 cities.
The watch also includes Multiband 6 radio-controlled time calibration for users who prefer not to rely on a smartphone connection. This feature receives time signals from six radio transmitters around the world, helping keep the watch accurate in supported regions.
Battery life is another strong point. When fully charged, the MTG-B4000B-1A can run for around five months without additional light exposure. With power-saving mode enabled and the watch stored in darkness, that figure can extend up to approximately 18 months.
The Casio MTG-B4000B-1A is now available in the US for $1,500, although availability may be limited at launch. For collectors and G-Shock fans looking for a premium model with advanced construction, solar power, Bluetooth connectivity, and radio-controlled accuracy, this new MT-G release is one of Casio’s most interesting rugged watches of the year.
