Casio Unveils All-New G-Shock MR-G Frogman Dive Watch in Latest Leak

The renowned Casio G-Shock line is all set to welcome a new member: the Frogman MRG-BF1000RG. A striking feature of this upcoming model is its sleek silver finish. The buzz in the Great G-Shock World community suggests this could mean a deviation from traditional finishes. Unlike its predecessors in the line that boast a deep-layer hardening treatment and DLC coating, insider speculation hints at a possible titanium carbide treatment, known for enhancing durability.

In terms of pricing, prepare for a hefty tag. This timepiece is expected to hit the market at approximately 600,000 yen, or around $4,000. When compared to other models in the Frogman series, this price tag aligns closely. For perspective, the MRG-BF1000-R1A is priced at $5,000, while the MRG-BF1000-B1A goes up to $5,800.

From what we can gather, the MRG-BF1000RG seems poised to inherit the robust functionality that the Frogman series is celebrated for. Among its potential features are ISO-certified 200-meter water resistance, a dedicated dive mode with up to two hours of dive time measurement, and the capability to track surface intervals for up to 24 hours. Add to that, tide graphs covering over 3,000 global locations and the ability to log up to 30 records for keen adventurers.

Additionally, aficionados might look forward to Casio’s signature Tough Solar power, Multi-Band 6 for seamless radio time adjustment, and Bluetooth connectivity, making it a tech-savvy diver’s essential. However, Casio has yet to officially announce details about the launch date or its availability outside Japan. Stay tuned for updates as soon as they surface.
