Canyon has unveiled its latest Citylite and Citylite:ON bikes throughout the EMEA region, offering an exciting option for urban commuters and city dwellers alike. The Citylite:ON e-bike, tailored for city commuting and errands, boasts impressive features and a premium price point.
Crafted with a lightweight aluminum frame complemented by carbon forks, this e-bike is available in two styles: step-over and step-through. These variants weigh 22.1 kg (48.1 lbs) and 21.6 kg (47.6 lbs), respectively, making them a convenient choice for those on the go.
The Citylite:ON is powered by a robust 600 W Bosch Performance Line motor, coupled with a Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub gear, delivering up to 75 Nm of torque. Instead of the usual chain drive, it utilizes a low-maintenance Gates CDC belt drive system. A 400 Wh removable battery fuels the e-bike, promising up to 85 km (52.8 miles) of assistance in eco mode and 40 km (24.8 miles) in turbo mode.
For those needing extra mileage, Canyon offers a 250 Wh Powermore range extender, boosting the bike’s range by an additional 50 km (31 miles).
Additional features include a Bosch Purion 200 display, high-performance Canyon Promax urban clean disc brakes, a Supernova Starstream front light, and an M15 rear light with a brake light function. The wide Maxxis DTR-1 tires ensure stability, while the centrally positioned SP Connect SPC+E-Cap smartphone mount includes a wireless charging module for convenience.
Practicality is enhanced with accessories like the MIK HD rear luggage rack, a tow bar capable of carrying up to 60 kg (132.2 lbs), child seats, front luggage carriers, an Atran Velo Edge HV side stand, a frame lock, and a bottle holder mount.
In addition to the Citylite:ON, Canyon has introduced the Citylite bicycle, which features a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear and a Gates CDN belt drive. This model is lighter, with the step-over version weighing 15.94 kg (35.1 lbs) and the step-through variant at 15.88 kg (35 lbs).
